Boss 'Az-ard's Waaagh: Under Construction
The History of Boss 'Az-ard: |
- M996.40 - 'Az-ard is born on Armageddon. He quickly joins up with a small band of outriders as a trukk boy.
- M997.40 - 'Az-ard Shows some minor 'oddboy' tendencies and repairs a bike he scavenged off the battlefield.
- M998.40 - 'Az-ard Begins his own warbike squad. He picks up an ambitious yoof named Dregteef in his squad.
- M999.40 - 'Az-ard's squad of bikers falls in with a speed freek army which he becomes the head boss of after a disagreement with the Big Mek left the mek without a head.
- Note: This is when I started collecting 3rd edition orks It was a multiclan army that used lots of my gorkamorka trukks.
- M000.41 - Ghazghkull returns to Armageddon for the third time. 'Az-ard's warband submits to Ghazghkull's global command and gears up for advanced war. 'Az-ard commissions Zigzagga, his Big Mek to build a great gargant.
- Note: This was during the Armageddon Codex. I had an official speed freek re-org to my army and ran them in the 2000/2001 tournament setting.
- M002.41 - After Ghazghkull's departure, Boss 'Az-ard's influence grew and grew. He was separated from his army and took refuge in the jungles of armageddon where he came upon an allied Stompa klan led by Big Mek Gorkhit.
- Note: For the 2002 tournament season, I made a Dredbash army with jungle camo models. Gromdank was a warboss dreadnaught at the time.
- M003.41 - 'Az-ard was wounded and underwent his first cybork procedure... Gorkhit and ZigZagga led his armies while he was out of commission.
- Note: In 2003, I painted up the new Tyranids and ran 'Hive Fleet Diablos' in the tournament circuit. They did ok and I sold them off at the end of one of the GTs.
- M005.41 - 'Az-ard becomes lost in the jungle and ends up with a band of feral orks commanded by Snortdakka. After being saved from death by some lucky blue tribal tattoos, He parts ways with them to find his old warbands.
- Note: This represents my feral ork army I ran in the 2005 GT.
- M006.41 - Grimdakka, an old deffskull attempts to usurp 'Az-ard's clans while he is away. He succeeds for a short time until he is killed in a battle with the imperium. His sooting arm is found by his Painbosses and re-attached to one of his Flash Gitz where it still lives today.
- Note: In 2006 I fielded a loota army using most of the 3rd edition ork units people said were not useable. Flashgitz, Lootaz with plasmacannons, Cyborks, Looted Rhinos... the whole works. Did very well mostly because people had *NO* idea what those units were or did. (WTF? those plasmacannons are plasmacannons? What is a cybork Invulnerable save?) My modern army paint scheme is based upon this army.
- M008.41 - 'Az-ard re-establishes control over his previous warbands and Grimdakka's loota boyz and assumes control as 'warlord' 'Az-ard. His armies quickly take his new colors. (lucky blue) 'Az-ard has his meks tractor a spacerok into orbit and sets up his base of operations there. Now his Waaagh can travel the universe.
- Note: This represents 5th edition and the repainting and reorganizing of all my previous armies under one standard. Since many models did not have legal units (like burnaz and such) I didnt want to field whole units of 3 different klanz burnas.
- M008.41 - 'Az-ard begins retrofitting and upgrading his fleet of Stompas and his Gargant. Gorkhit's Stompa clan, supported by Zipspanna
the Deffskull lay siege to many of Armageddon's manufacturing plants for raw materials.
- Note:For the 2008 tourney season, I ran a DREADBASH with two BIG MEKS for the list. Also during this time, I began upgrading my Epicast stompas and my Armorcast Gargant to match with the new GW Stompa figure.
- M009.41 - WAAAGH 'Az-ard forms a council of command for the various warbands under his command.
Grimdakka returns to challenge 'az-Ard after being reported dead. After a close scrap, Grimdakka yields and is made second-in-command and gained a seat on his war council.
- Da Speedur Boyz - Led by Big Mek ZigZagga
- Da Stompa Clan - Led by Big Mek Gorkhit
- Da BlooTusk Tribe - Led by Warboss Snortdakka
- Da Shoota Lootaz - Led by Big Mek Zipspanna
- Da Ultra Mareenz Attack Force - Led by Warboss Grimdakka
- Note: This is where my army is at the begining of the 2009 season. I can field just about every type of 5th edition army between all of the models and leaders I have now.
